A short introduction to training an Off-the-track Thoroughbred, OTT, using a systematic approach. The thoroughbred industry produces quality racehorses, after they finish on the track they can be repurposed for many rewarding careers including eventing, dressage, show jumping and pony club disciplines, as well as companion and therapy animals. As an experienced trainer of horses and riders I share a training base and offer lessons as an approved coach within the Racing Queensland OTT program to take care of thoroughbreds after racing.
